Scandinavian Association of Thoracic Nurses, SATNU

Purpose of the organisation is to

  • promote scientific development of thoracic surgical nursing
  • inspire and support research within thoracic surgical nursing
  • promote contacts and collaboration with persons, authorities and organisations working with or having an interest in thoracic surgical nursing
  • promote knowledge sharing within thoracic surgical nursing by conducting an annual conference, establishing of network groups or exchange programmes for stays abroad.

SATNU is a collaborative organisation for nurses within thoracic surgery whether employed publically or privately, at wards or in the outpatient area, at ICU, at surgical or anaesthetic departments or indirectly employed within research and development in relation to thoracic surgical nursing.

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP  

 
Subsection 1. Active membership
  • Nurses related to thoracic surgical nursing who pays the member fee 15 ¤ per year.

Subsection 2. Associated membership

  • Nurses who are not active in thoracic surgical nursing
  • Retired thoracic surgical nurses
  • People other than nurses who have been granted a personal membership of SATNU

Subsection 3. Company membership

  • Companies that have been granted membership of SATNU
